Year 6

On Thursday 5th of July, the year 6’s from cluster schools came to Neale wade to experience how lessons would be like in September. They were accompanied by some year 7’s who guided them to their 5 classes and showed them around some parts of the school. Some of the students who helped with the classes were: Karyn, Nia, Jenny, Shannon, Samanta, Leah, Ethan, Regan, Cameron.

Two of the classes that the year 6’s visited was English with Ms Wilshire and LRC with Ms Bulbrook:

“I was very impressed with the level of subject knowledge and the behaviour with the year 6’s”

-Ms Wilshire

“I thought they were very good, very polite and very willing to get on with the tasks.”- Ms Bulbrook

Why did it help them?

It helped them because next year they will feel more comfortable and confident moving into their new year. As well as that they can make new friends, learn more about the school, and settle in well. The year 7’s helped because they (a year ago) did the same and did the transition days and they can give advice about their next year. Also the year 6’s know who they can talk to in the following year.

Some year sevens who took the year 6 around were: Jennifer, Karyn, Brooke, Reagan, Tristan, Harry, Chloe and Nia

Most of the children were very polite and willing to do the activity.
